A Crimson Rosella! – Margaret Lynette Sharp

Beautiful photo. I would LOVE to get a picture like that, but I always seem to be just too late. Thanks so much for sharing!

Margaret's Classic Posts

Many parrots of different varieties live in our local bushland park. The Crimson Rosella must surely rank as one of the most  beautiful. Its rich red and blue tones stand out, especially in the sunshine. Sometimes we see then on the ground, searching for food amongst the fallen leaves and twigs. Other times, they’re in the air, or perched on a branch, sometimes not far different from human eye-level.

This photo was taken as one enjoyed eating from a native shrub in the park.
