Day 3
Affirmation Writing Steps – by Harriet Hodgson
- Sit in a comfortable chair.
- Eliminate background noise if possible.
- Clear the clutter from your mind by meditating or visualizing a blank television screen.
- Using the present tense, write a one-sentence affirmation about a positive thought.
- Check your affirmation for word choices and tone.
- Change a word or two if you must. Resist the urge to over-work your affirmation.
- Continue to write one-sentence affirmations.
- Keep your affirmations in a notebook, journal or computer file.
- Copy an affirmation on a small piece of paper and stick it in your pocket. During the day read the affirmation several times to retain a positive attitude.
- Keep affirming yourself and your life with words.
